Joining IBI as a chapter means:

Workshop Examples

Heart-Rate Detection

Students use basic hardware sensors to measure and visualize their heart rate, discovering how technology converts biological signals into data. This workshop introduces concepts like signal processing, noise reduction, and how AI models can support real-time health insights.

Trash vs. Nature Image Detection

In this introductory workshop, students train a simple computer vision model to distinguish between trash and natural scenery. Along the way, they learn why data diversity and representation matter, how bias affects model performance, and how AI can be used for environmental impact.

Anna Du

As a co-founder, Anna brings her experience in AI, robotics, and research to create interactive workshops that make advanced technology approachable for everyone. She focuses on developing scalable, high-impact learning programs that empower young people to innovate in their own communities.

Yunzhu Chen

Yunzhu is a cofounder leading AI curriculum design and educator training, working to make AI education feel relevant to people and make it accessible to anyone who wants to learn. Drawing on her own AI and coding knowledge, she aims to help people understand how these tools actually work so they can use them responsibly and confidently in their own lives.

Ramzey Burdette

Ram, as co-founder of IBI, brings experience working with communities to drive social change to connect our work back to the experiences of the every day lives of the students we work with.
